As the spread of Covid-19 continues to impact further on all of our daily lives, Launchpad will continue to support business throughout the Sheffield City Region.
How is Coronavirus affecting Launchpad?
In accordance with current Government guidelines, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone all future planned workshops. Launchpad will continue to support new business owners and companies which have been trading for less than three years through one-to-one support from our team of experienced business advisers which are based throughout the Sheffield City Region.
If you are already working with a business adviser, please continue to telephone or email your adviser directly.
If you do not currently work with a Launchpad business adviser please complete our contact form or alternatively, call 03330 00 00 39 and we will assign an experienced member of staff to help your business.
In addition to this we will soon be launching a new self-help Facebook group, aimed at assisting small business owners across the Sheffield City Region: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2734195703293643/
What support is available to small businesses?
On Tuesday 17th March, Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced a number of measures designed to support businesses and members of staff during the current pandemic.
The measures introduced include:
– Statutory Sick Pay relief for SMEs
– Grant funding to support small businesses exempt from business rates and additional provisions for businesses operating in the leisure, retail and hospitality sectors
– Business lending available through the British Business Bank
– Time to Pay – designed to help businesses manage payments due to HMRC
To help you access the right help for your business, each Launchpad delivery partner has produced guidance notes. If you are considering applying for a Government grant to help your business, you must contact the local authority in which your business is based.
The following pages provide further details about the help available to businesses, including how to access grant funding made available to small businesses.
